چکیده
Background: The emergence and spread of multidrug-resistant bacteria have become a major public health problem worldwide, particularly in developing countries such as Burkina Faso. This study aims to determine phenotypic genotypic antibiotic resistant diarrheagenic Escherichia coli (DEC) from patients with diarrhea Ouagadougou, Methodology: Microbiological biochemical analysis were done detect two hundred ninety-two (292) strains. susceptibility the strains antibiotics was determined by agar disc diffusion method. 16-plex-PCR assays carried out both virulence resistance genes encoding betalactams, quinolones, phenicols, tetracyclines gene DEC. Results: Diarrheagenic detected 8% (23/292) using 39.1% (9/23) DEC carry at least one gene. Resistance rate test 86.96% tetracycline, 65.23% cotrimoxazole, 17.4% nalidixic acid, norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin, 13.04% ceftriaxone, cefotaxime, 8.7% gentamicin, Chloramphenicol, 0% netilmicin. prevalence different studied varied 44.4% 5.5%. Tet coding for tetracycline found 8 (44.4%). CatA Chloramphenicol 38.9% isolates. qnrS, blaSHV blaOXA each 5.5% No strain hosts qnrA, qnrB blaTEM genes. Conclusion: identified β-lactams, phenicols isolates These results indicate need surveillance program reduce Enterobacteriaceae hospitals.

Burkina Faso is one of the Subsaharan African nations. No national services for monitoring of antibiotic resistance are available, so the number of reports of resistance patterns among hospital pathogens are inconsistent. In order to evaluate antibiotic resistance, a total of 1998 valuable microrganisms were analysed during 2000 at the Medical Centre St. Camille of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso's c...
